In April 19th, 2005, Contract about Distribution System Design and As-Built Studies was signed between Prokon and İzmirgaz.

Under the scope of the design studies, City Feed and Zone Regulator Station, 438.895 km length Steel Line and 9.025.083 km length PE Distribution Line with various diameters are design according to 30-year-projection.

As-Built studies has been completed in April, 2010.

Under the scope of the Construction Supervision Contract, signed in November 1st, 2005, 109.255,85 km length Steel Line, total of 1.211.329,7 km length of PE Line and total of 34.365 Service Lines Constructions, and also constructions of 3 RMS-A, 4 MS and 57 BR Stations has been controlled by Prokon.

Information About the Project

The design, engineering and construction supervision services of İzmir License Zone Natural Gas Distribution works were provided by PROKON Mühendislik ve Müşavirlik A.Ş.

The following services were within the scope of the project:

·         Design and Construction Drawings preparation of all steel pipelines

ü  438.895m intermediate pressure (12-19 Bar) steel distribution line (route determination, design, cathodic protection drawings preparation, preparation of materials list

·         Design and Construction Drawings preparation of all PE (Polyethylene) lines,

ü  7.827.457m low pressure PE distribution line (route determination, design, cathodic protection drawings preparation, preparation of materials lists)

·         Design and Construction Drawings preparation of high pressure lines

ü  Field works, route determination, design, ground investigation, expropriation documents preparation, cathodic protection drawings preparation of 11.703m 36”, 7.764m 32”, 40.150m 30”, 99.000m 8”-12” high pressure lines

·         Design and Construction Drawings preparation of RMS-A (12) , RMS-B (approximately 560) stations and stations for Industrial Consumptions (PI Diagrams, Mechanical, Electrical and Automation Design)

·         Preparation of Scada Specifications and Drawings

·         Supply, update and digitizing of all the maps in İzmir Licence Zone.

·         Building surveys for houses and industrial facilities of the whole city and calculation of TAKS and KAKS values in the zoning plan.

Design, Engineering and Construction Supervision Services for Gölbaşı Natural Gas Pressure Reducing Stations and Pipe Lines were provided by PROKON.

The second natural gas supply point was planned with an RMS-A Type Station (Pressure Reducing and Measurement Station) near Gölbaşı considering the Urban Development and Natural Gas Consumption of Ankara in the year 2025. The capacity of the 2nd RMS station was 600.000m3/h, which was also designed as allowing a capacity increase up to 1.000.000m3/h. The Natural Gas was carried from station to Doğukent District by steel pipes. The distribution was performed by a B Type RMS Station with a capacity of 250.000m3/h on that district. The total pipeline length was approximately 50 km. The gas pressure on RMS-A station outlets were considered to be 40 Bar, rather than 19-20 Bar Operation Pressure. Under the scope of the project, on the following points are worked on;

  • Ankara (Ahiboz) LV-129 BOTAŞ Line-Gölbaşı Ø900mm 20 km. Hign Pressure Pipe Line,
  • Gölbaşı 600.000 m3/h A-RMS Station,
  • Gölbaşı-İncek Ø700 mm 7 Km. Pipe Line,
  • Gölbaşı-Doğukent Ø800mm 8 Km. Ø600mm 19Km. Pipe Line,
  • Doğukent 250.000 m3/h B-RMS Station,
  • Doğukent-Pursaklar Ø600mm 32 Km. Pipe Line,
  • Pursaklar 250.000 m3/h B-RMS Station.
