İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality has planned to invest in an indoor sports facility and youth center Gaziosmanpaşa – İstanbul in the year 2012.  

Prokon Mühendislik ve Müşavirlik A.Ş. has undertaken all engineering services including Architectural, Structural, Infrastructural, Mechanical and Electrical Disciplines.

The structure is designed as an indoor sports facility and a car park which can be transformed into an open market in a specific day of the week. The open market capacity is 1050 benches. The total area of this project is 25.351 m2.

The youth center, sports hall and car park is designed as 3 separate buildings. Those 3 buildings are gathered with a yard named as activity area.

Indoor Sports Facility (3781 m2):

The indoor sports facility consists of one basketball field with 15m x 28m dimensions, volleyball field, tribune with 750 spectator capacity, spectator lounges, plates hall, fitness hall and locker rooms. The entrance to the sports and fitness halls are in +0.00 level and the spectator entrances are given from the terrace and connection bridge at first floor.

Youth Center (2665 m2):

The youth center consists of design warehouses, classrooms, exhibition area, conference hall having 130 person capacity, library, sitting and resting areas. The classrooms have 30 students capacity.

Car Park Area (14411 m2):

The car park is designed for 283 car capacity in 3 floors. The first and second floors are also designed as open market with 1050 benches capacity and 3^rd floor is designed for the customers. The 3^rd floor also have the technical areas and shelter.

A stadium having a capacity of 10.000 spectators with dimensions of 66,02 m x 18 m x 14,7 m, and a steel roof is designed in the scope of the modernization of ISDEMIR Stadium.

Also steel roof design of Dörtyol Cultural Center belonging to ISDEMIR was made under the same project scope. The cultural center, having 53,20 m x 24,30 m x 10,75 m dimensions, consists a cinema, theater, conference hall, library, fine arts hall and administrational offices.          

The task of the project was to prepare the Architectural, Reinforced Concrete, Steel Structure, Mechanical Equipment, Mechanical Installation, Electrical Installation.     

The project covers construction supervision of 6112 houses with the social facilities in Hakkari, Diyarbakır, Tunceli, Batman, Şanlıurfa, Elazığ, Van and Mardin during and after construction period. 

The total building area of the project is 935.398,80 m².

The project also covers the construction supervision of road connections, infrastructural, environmental and landscaping works.

Some of the social facilities within the scope of this project are as follows;

·         Thirteen Trade Centers, one  Social Centre, eleven shops, three Health Centers, one 32-Classroom Elementary School, two 40 Classroom Elementary Schools, two 16 Classroom Elementary Schools, four 24 Classroom Elementary Schools, one  8 Classroom Elementary School, two  5 Classroom Elementary Schools, six nursing homes, three  Sports Halls, three kindergartens, eight  mosques.

Consultancy Services

The Contract related to "Design and Engineering Services of 1st Group Cultural, Sport, Service and Car Park Buildings around İstanbul" was signed between PROKON Mühendislik ve Müşavirlik A.Ş. and İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality on March 8th, 2012.

The consultancy services of this project include the design of stadium, youth center, sports halls, buildings, underground car parks and also landscaping having an area of 203.000 m2.

The Project covers the design services of the following structures;

• Çatalca Soild Waste Transfer Station (4.740 m2),
• Üsküdar Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital Underground Car Park (51.865 m2),
• Çatalca Kaleiçi Fire Station (3407 m2),
• Gaziosmanpaşa Barbaros Hayrettinpaşa Closed Sport Hall and Youth Center (24.120 m2),

• Ümraniye Çakmak Quarter Underground Multi-Storey Car Park (39.471 m2),
• Esenler Fevzi Çakmak Quarter Multi-Storey Car Park (4.016 m2),
• Küçükçekmece Fevzi Çakmak Quarter Multi-Storey Car Park (73.460 m2),
• Esenler Havaalani Quarter Underground Multi-Storey Car Park (35.191 m2).
