Information About the Project

As being the biggest investment project of Kayseri Sugar Factories Co., largest and most modern sugar factory of Turkey, 10.000 tons/day Sugar Beet Slicing Capacity Boğazlıyan Sugar Factory has been realized as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract on turnkey basis covering all civil, mechanical, electrical and automation works, commissioning and startup of the sugar factory.


The project has been completed by OEP (Oyak İnşaat-Ekon-Prokon) and French Fives-Cail, Maguin Consortium. The complete design works were provided by Prokon. When finished, it was designed to operate 10.000 tons of sugar beet per day, which may also reach 12.000 tons per day. Also a storage area with 224.000 ton sugar beet capacity was built. The beet washer unit’s hourly capacity was 420 tons. Also the facility has the capacity to store 60.000 tons granulated sugar and 20.000 tons packaged sugar.
